Look up 123 ignition, based in the netherlands. That seems to be a really nice alternative to all the other choices out there and as soon as I am able am ordering up 2 for my own cars. Seem easy to install. For more info go to sw-em.com. Ron Kwas' web site, another Connecticut member of the club, he has plenty of info to answer any questions you may have and will probably answer a few you didn't know you had.

So you're thinking along the lines of a strong original spark? Not a bad call that. Best of luck....

Jimmy. Can you post a clear pic of the dizzy side of your engine here please? A large pic, nice and light and without the servo blocking the view. Thanks. As I said a while back, getting Tony Barrett to give it a check over might be cost effective. I don't know how near to him you are or wether he would be willing to visit, but it would be worth asking.

Another thought, run it from a gravity feed, see if it still coughs when your sucking the petrol straight from a can not using the fuel lines/filters. If it still coughs you have ruled out several possible causes. It's like deans spare dizzy solution, anything that replaces a large part of the system in one go speeds up diagnostics no end.

Hi Derek, I am assuming you are asking for a picture, to see if thing are the right way round. Well to save time, I dont know if you saw in my earlier post, is I have been driving this with no problems and now these new problems have occured. So nothing has been touched apart from a new condensor. The other parts have not evn done 100 miles in a couple of years. thanks Jimmy.

I agree with derek. I would recheck that the plug leads are connected correctly and that the timing is correct. Remember when i fitted my petronix eleccy ignition, one of those that "doesn't require retiming", I had to swap the HT leads round then shift it another 10 degrees, 100 degrees altered timing!
